Manchester Camerata tour the Baltics
17/2/2023
This Spring, Manchester Camerata, under the baton of conductor Gábor Takács-Nagy, embark on a five-concert tour of Estonia, Lithuania and Poland alongside piano soloist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet with a Mozart-inspired programme. The tour also marks Manchester Camerata’s debuts in all the Baltic countries they will perform in.
The tour begins in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn on 29 March, where they perform Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte and Mozart’s Symphony No.36, and Jean-Efflam Bavouzet performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.s12 and 13.
Heading to Lithuania’s National Philharmonic Hall in Vilnius on 30 March, they perform the same programme but this time with Daniel Kidane’s Be Still replacing the Shaw. On 31 March they arrive at Kaunas State Philharmonic Hall with an all-Mozart programme with his Divertimento replacing the Kidane.
Leaving Lithuania, they travel to Poland’s National Forum of Music in Wrocław on 1 April and then to Philharmonic Hall, Szczecin on 2 April to complete the tour with the all-Mozart programme.
The tour celebrates the artists’ multi-year collaborative project to perform and record all of Mozart’s piano concertos with Chandos Records.
