This summer, Hongni Wu takes her place on two major American stages with debuts at San Francisco Opera and Santa Fe Opera. She first opens as Bao Chai in Bright Sheng’s Dream of the Red Chamber on 17 June on the West Coast, ahead of creating the roles of Comrade Chin and Shu Fung in the world premiere of Huang Ruo’s M. Butterfly from 30 July in Santa Fe.
