Hongni Wu makes a welcome return to London as Flora Bervoix in Richard Eyre’s long-standing production of La traviata at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, with performances on 29, 31 October, 3, 7 & 11 November conducted by Antonello Manacorda. A recent graduate of the theatre’s Jette Parker Young Artists Programme, Hongni sang roles such as Mercédès (Carmen) and Siébel (Faust) on the mainstage before her time there was unfortunately cut short by the pandemic. She is thrilled to appear in London again and joined a recital of former Young Artists earlier this month to celebrate 20 years of the Programme as part of their annual ​“Meet the Young Artists Week”.
