Gautier Capuçon & Adolfo Gutierrez Arenas perform Penderecki in Madrid
27/1/2017
Adolfo Gutiérrez Arenas, Gautier Capuçon, and Daniel Müller-Schott join the Orquesta Nacional de España for performances of Penderecki’s Concerto Grosso for Three Cellos, under the baton of the composer himself in the Auditorio Nacional de Música, Madrid (3, 4 and 5 February).
These performances mark Adolfo’s return to the Orquesta Nacional de España, and follow his recent successful debut with London Philharmonic Orchestra under Vladimir Jurowski and his US orchestral debut with Fort Worth Symphony under Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
Following his collaboration with Gutiérrez Arenas and Penderecki, Capuçon embarks on a number of concerts performing Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1, appearing with San Francisco Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas (1, 2, 3 and 4 March), Bamberger Symphoniker with Alondra de la Parra (9, 10 and 12 March), and London Symphony Orchestra with Alain Altinoglu (23 March).
