For the fifth year in a row Víkingur Ólafsson is the Artistic Director at Reykjavík Midsummer Music from 16 to 19 June.

The festival’s theme this year is ​‘Wanderer’. In seven concerts at Harpa, the programme takes the audience wandering through diverse musical landscapes, from the reassuringly familiar to the mysterious, unknown and thrilling – even into outer space.

Víkingur collaborates with numerous artists throughout the festival – including Viktoria Mullova, Jerome Lowenthal and Matthew Barley – in programmes featuring works by Ravel, Takemitsu, Messiaen, Debussy, Schubert, Nordal and Dvořák.
