Edo de Waart returns to Chicago Symphony Orchestra
6/11/2015
This week Edo de Waart conducts four concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
On 11 November he leads a one hour ‘Afterwork Masterworks’ concert which features Adams’ Harmonielehre and Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.5 with soloist Augustin Hadelich. Then on 12, 13 and 14 November he conducts the same repertoire, as well as Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegels Merry Pranks, at three full length concerts.
De Waart’s other US engagements this season include concerts with San Diego Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic, both of which will feature works by John Adams, and also his position as Music Director of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
