This week Jean-Efflam Bavouzet makes his debut with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, performing both of Ravel’s Piano Concertos under the baton of François-Xavier Roth at concerts on 18 and 19 September.

The concerts follow Bavouzet’s highly successful appearance at the 2015 BBC Proms, where his performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major was described by The Arts Desk as ​“dreamlike, unpredictable, unlike any performance you would have heard before”.

Later in the season Bavouzet will collaborate with Roth again with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
