On 29 August Alexei Volodin returns to the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing to perform Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.2 with the China NCPA Orchestra and Guoyong Zhang.

The performance follows Volodin’s debut there last year with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev, where he performed Prokofiev’s Piano Concertos Nos.3 and 4 as part of the orchestra’s ​‘Prokofiev marathon’ project.
