Alexei Volodin follows a recital tour of Italy with his debut appearance with the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. In concerts conducted by Daniel Oren, he performs Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 on 21 and 22 February.

Earlier in the month Volodin gave recitals in Sassari, Catania and Rome, performing a programme of Bach, Ravel and Chopin. He has also just appeared with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra and Valery Gergiev in a concert in Andorra, where he was soloist in Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2.
