Behzod Abduraimov and Alexei Volodin perform Prokofiev in Munich

As part of the Festival MPhil 360° both Behzod Abduraimov and Alexei Volodin perform on 15 November at the Philharmonie im Gasteig in Munich as part of the Prokofiev piano concerto extravaganza conducted by Valery Gergiev. Abduraimov plays Piano Concerto No.3 at 3pm with the Münchner Philharmoniker, followed by Volodin who plays No.4 at 5pm with The Mariinsky Orchestra.
Also performing at the Festival on the same day is Jörg Widmann, who makes his Münchner Philharmoniker debut at 7pm with Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. All of the concerts on 15 November are broadcast on medici.tv.
Following these performances Behzod will travel to Leipzig to perform Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under Dmitri Kitajenko on 19 and 20 November, whilst Volodin will make his debut with Singapore Symphony Orchestra on 3 December, performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3 under Vladimir Ashkenazy.
