On 16 December Jean-Efflam Bavouzet returns to London’s Wigmore Hall with his first evening solo recital at the venue since 2010, performing music by Beethoven, Ravel and Bartók. This follows successful performances of Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 with Vladimir Jurowski and the London Philharmonic Orchestra earlier in the season at the Royal Festival Hall and on their tour of the USA.

Bavouzet returns to the hall later this season for a lunchtime recital and a two-piano concert with François-Frédéric Guy. The concert will include a two-piano arrangement of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, which features on their upcoming Chandos CD together, as well as Bavouzet’s own arrangement of Debussy’s Jeux.

Earlier this month, Bavouzet performed an all-French programme at the Louvre in Paris recorded by France Musique and streamed live on Medici TV.
