Daniel Blendulf steps in to conduct the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, replacing Marin Alsop in two concerts on 15 & 16 January.
Following several successful appearances with the orchestra last season, Blendulf conducts a programme featuring Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4 and Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1, with Jakob Koranyi as soloist. The programme opens with Andrea Tarrodi’s Zephyros.
Later this season Blendulf returns to Stockholm to conduct the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in a contemporary programme of music by Daniel Börtz and Britta Bystroem.
