Sir Stephen Hough begins his tour in Asia with Hong Kong Philharmonic and conductor Lio Kuokman, performing Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No.5 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 12 December and at Xinghai Concert Hall (Guangzhou) on 14 December. The programme includes Fazil Say’s Grand Bazaar and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

Hough gives two recitals in Guangzhou and Shanghai. The first recital takes place at Xinghai Concert Hall on 13 December and follows at Shanghai Concert Hall on 20 December. The programme includes Cecile Chaminade’s Automne, L’Autre Fois, Theme Varie, Les Sylvains, and sonatas from Liszt and Chopin. 

Sir Stephen Hough also gives a masterclass in Shanghai.
