Sakari Oramo conducts BBC Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Last Night of the Proms on 14 September at Royal Albert Hall. He is joined by Sir Stephen Hough as soloist, performing the second movement of Saint-Saens’ Piano Concert No.5 and his own arrangement of In His Hands: Two Spirituals with soprano, Angel Blue. The programme also includes the world premiere of Polyarts artist Carlos Simon​’s Hellfighters’ Blues, co-commissioned by BBC Radio 3 as Carlos’ debut Proms commission. 

The Last Night of the Proms is set to be broadcast live on BBC channels, and available on BBC Sounds and iPlayer thereafter.
