Paweł Kapuła steps in to conduct Meininger Hofkapelle on 1 May, performing a vibrant, spring-themed programme at the prestigious Staatstheater Meiningen.

Four French composers, four discoveries: The programme starts with Germaine Tailleferre’s romantic Ballet-music Le Marchand d’oiseaux leading to Arthur Honnegger’s captivating Concerto da camera for Flute and English horn and strings with soloists Elisaveta Ivanova and Céline Moinet. The programme concludes with Milhaud’s Petite Symphonie No.1 and Poulenc’s vivacious Sinfonietta. 

The concert is set to be recorded by Deutschlandfunk Kultur for delayed broadcast on 15 May.
