10/3/2023
Paweł Kapuła returns to Warsaw to conduct Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra at Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall on 17–18 March. The programme features Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto, including three cadenzas by Krzysztof Penderecki, as well as Penderecki’s Concertino for Trumpet and Orchestra with Lucienne Renaudin Vary as soloist. The second half of the programme is dedicated to masterworks of French music from the period of the great stylistic changes around the turn of the 20th century, and includes Gabriel Fauré’s euphonic Pavane (1887), Claude Debussy’s epoch-making cycle La mer (1905) and the quasi-classical suite Ma mère l’oye (1912) by Maurice Ravel.
