From September 2024, Roderick Cox will take up the post as Music Director to Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier Occitanie, recognised as one of France’s national orchestra and opera companies. Succeeding Michael Schønwandt, who held the position of Principal Conductor from 2015 to 2023, Roderick has conducted the orchestra a number of times in both orchestral concerts and opera performances and will conduct Puccini’s La Bohème with them in May 2024. 

Roderick collaborates with internationally renowned ensembles, and forthcoming engagements include returns to the Philadelphia Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Halle Orchestra (UK), Lahti Sinfonia, and WDR Symphony as well as with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Bamberger Symphoniker, Finnish National Opera Orchestra, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Roderick returns to the Aspen Music Festival Chamber Orchestra in summer 2024.
