Roderick Cox leads Orchestra of St. Luke’s in a programme featuring Walker, Beethoven and Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 with Alisa Weilerstein at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts on 6 August.

He then travels to Saratoga for his SPAC debut conducting Beethoven’s jubilant and exhilarating Symphony No.7 on 9 August with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Mozart’s Oboe Concerto with the orchestra’s principal oboist, Philippe Tondre. Cox concludes the trip with a return to Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra for a concert on 15 August at the Amphitheater leading a programme with Wagner’s Overture to Tannhäuser and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5.
