Stephanie Childress debuts with Detroit Opera, conducting the production of Missy Mazzoli’s modern work Breaking The Waves on 6, 12 and 14 April at Detroit Opera House.

This emotional opera is in three acts and based on the film by Lars von Trier. Bess undergoes a spiritual journey when her husband, Jan, survives a paralyzing accident, exploring the boundaries of love and social conventions.
