Gabriel Venzago Debuts with Singapore Symphony Orchestra
22/3/2024
Gabriel Venzago travels to Singapore conducting Singapore Symphony Orchestra in two concerts on 29 and 30 March at Victoria Concert Hall. The programme features an interesting first half of John Williams’ Essay for Strings and the Asian premiere of his Japanese-influenced Flute Concerto, starring the orchestra’s Principal Flute, Jin Ta. Beethoven’s Symphony No.2 is in the second half and in the best hands with Venzago, as he learnt his skills in the classical repertoire with the prestigious Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg in his previous role as Kapellmeister of Salzburg Landestheater.
