Karita Mattila returns to Opéra de Paris as Emilia Marty, in Krzysztof Warlikowski’s production of Věc Makropulos. Susanna Mälkki conducts performances on 5, 8, 10, 13 and 17 October. 

As Mattila’s most iconic roles, she has appeared as Emilia Marty with The Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Finnish National Opera and at the BBC Proms, and in 2016 she received the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for her ​“unforgettable incarnations” of the role.
