Praised for his subtle interpretations of the great classics of the piano, Francesco Piemontesi presents all facets of his skills in four recital, concerto and chamber music appearances at Gstaad Menuhin Festival this summer.
The “Wizard of Sound” (Neue Zürcher Zeitung) takes his audience on a discovery journey through the Classical, early Romanticism and French early 20th century periods in recital on 16 July, in a duo with Sol Gabetta on 25 July, a trio with Stephen Waarts and Daniel Müller-Schott on 21 July, and with Freiburger Barockorchester performing Mozarts’ Concerto for Piano No.25 on a period instrument replica of the fortepiano by Conrad Graf, Wien 1826 on 22 July.
