Taavi Oramo returns to Sweden to make his debut with Västerås Sinfonietta in two concerts on 30 March and 1 April at the Västerås Concert Hall. Oramo and the orchestra will be joined by pianist Christian Ihle Hadland for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5. The programme also contains Heta Aho’s Three Songs to Poems by Edith Södergran, where Oramo features as both singer and conductor, and Lindberg’s Absense.

This is the Swedish premiere of Heta Aho’s Three Songs to Poems by Edith Södergran, which received its Asian premiere in 2022 when Oramo sang-conducted it with Hong Kong Philharmonic.
