On 24 February, acclaimed pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard headlines the first of four concerts hosted by Bard College, all dedicated to Hungarian composer György Kurtág and his influence on contemporary music. Featuring a selection of solo piano works by Schubert as well as Kurtág’s The Sayings of Peter Bornemisza sung by soprano Tony Arnold, the concert also includes the US premieres of various works written by Kurtág during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Pierre-Laurent repeats his collaboration with Tony Arnold on 10 March as part of the four-day Kurtág Festival in Amsterdam.
