Renowned composer and conductor, Tan Dun conducts the LPO for the UK premiere of his epic work, Buddha Passion. In this exciting new work, the legends of Buddhism meet the tradition of Bach’s choral Passions, drawing on ancient Chinese and Sanskrit texts, with the use of traditional Chinese instruments, featuring dancing, and indigenous singing. The performance takes place on 22 January at the Royal Festival Hall, with Shenyang also performing.
