Violinist Akiko Suwanai returns to Hong Kong Philharmonic under the baton of Jaap van Zweden for two performances of Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.1 on the 9 and 10 December. The programme is to include the World Premiere of Simon Yip Sai Man’s A Wise Man (commissioned by Hong Kong Philharmonic), and Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5.
