Akiko Suwanai joins the Budapest Festival Orchestra for three concerts at Müpa Budapest on 19, 20 and 21 March. Suwanai plays Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto under the baton of Ivan Fischer, who also guides the orchestra through a programme of Smetana’s Bartered Bride Overture and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.
