Nil Venditti makes her Spanish debut with Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León in concerts on 4 and 5 November. The programme begins with the Overture to Bellini’s Norma, followed by Busoni’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra featuring soloist Francesca Dego, and closes with Casella’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Venditti returns to Spain three more times this season, starting with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias on 17 and 18 November, in concerts featuring oboist Juan Ferriol performing Francaix’s Concerto for Oboe. She then conducts the Orquesta de Extremadura on 9 and 10 February, joined by soloist Cristina Montes, who will perform Ginastera’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra. Venditti’s final Spanish engagements of the season take place on 27 and 28 April with Real Filharmonía de Galicia, where she takes on an exciting programme culminating in Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4.
