Nil Venditti joins the BBC National Orchestra of Wales for two concerts in Brecon, Wales on 29 September, and Newport, Wales on 30 September. The programme, titled Elemental Explorations, features Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 and Bruch’s Kol Nidrei for Orchestra and Cello, with soloist Camille Thomas. The programme also includes the UK premieres of two pieces: Never Give Up by Fazil Say, and Protonic Games by Fabien Waksman. 

Venditti will return to the UK in November to conduct the Royal Northern Sinfonia, joined by soloist Eldbjørg Hemsing, who will perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. The programme will also include Mozart’s Overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio, Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances, Fazil Say’s Symphonic Dances, and Brahms’ Hungarian Dances No.1, 6, and 10. The performance will be live-streamed so that audiences around the world can enjoy the programme.
