EIVIND GULLBERG JENSEN CONDUCTS SIMON McBurney’S ‘THE MAGIC FLUTE’ IN BERGEN
28/10/2022
Eivind Gullberg Jensen conducts four performances of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at Bergen National Opera, where he is Artistic and General Director. Performances take place at the Grieghallen on 5, 7, 9 and 11 November. A co-production from Dutch National Opera, English National Opera and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, this production has been praised by the Wall Street Journal as the “best production I’ve ever witnessed”.
Soprano Mari Eriksmoen returns to Bergen National Opera and the role of Pamina, alongside rising star Linard Vrielink as Tamino, and Stephen Milling appears as Sarastro, a role he reprises later this season at the Metropolitan Opera in the same production and under the baton of Nathalie Stutzmann.
