PABLO HERAS-CASADO TOURS WITH ANIMA ETERNA BRUGGE
5/8/2022
Pablo Heras-Casado starts a new project and artistic relation with the period ensemble Anima Eterna Brugge, where they will present several of Bruckner’s symphonies over the next few seasons. The first step of this new collaboration begins this summer with Bruckner’s Symphony No.7, with concerts at Grafenegg Festival, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Musikfest Bremen and Ravello Festival. In September they also perform at Festival de Besançon and Concertgebouw Brugge, bringing “home” the first part of this exciting new project. Anima Eterna will seek out the very same instruments, strings, and orchestral forces used in Bruckner’s time, including the historical sound of the famous Wagner tubas. The concert in Hamburg will open with Brahms’ Tragic Overture.
