The 5 December marks the premiere of Barrie Kosky’s new production of Don Giovanni at the Wiener Staatsoper, where Ain Anger sings Il Commendatore under Philippe Jordan. Owing to the current measures in Austria the premiere will be sung without audience and broadcast live on ORF III’s main evening program. Remaining performances will hopefully continue through 20 December. Ain remains at the Wiener Staatsoper throughout December as Philipp II in Daniele Abbado’s production of Don Carlo, conducted by Franz Welser-Möst, opening on 16 December.
