On 9 June, Mari Eriksmoen joins the Bergen Philharmonic and Ed Gardner as Miranda in Arne Nordheim’s The Tempest, as the closing concert of this year’s Bergen Festival. Performed against a backdrop of sweeping landscapes of Bergen in a specially-commissioned film by video artist Sarah Derendinger, the story is reimagined from Miranda’s perspective, and will be live-streamed on the Festival’s website in addition to hosting a live audience. 

Eriksmoen collaborates regularly with the Philharmonic and Festival and played a significant role in last year’s edition which was entirely virtual. Upcoming she can be heard in a selection of Britten and Canteloube songs, recorded with the Bergen Philharmonic and Gardner for release later this year on Chandos.
