Acclaimed Norwegian soprano Mari Eriksmoen releases her first solo recording with orchestra on the Challenge Classics label. Showcasing her impressive versatility across the coloratura and lyric soprano repertoire. Together with Jan Willem de Vriend and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Eriksmoen showcases arias by George Frideric Händel and W. A . Mozart in a comprehensive exploration of the relationship between the two composers highlighting a number of Mozart’s transcriptions of Händel’s works, including arias from Acis und Galatea and Der Messias. This release follows Mari’s ​“poised, elegant and persuasive” debut recital disc of Lieder and Nordic songs.
