Javier Perianes: Live stream from the Granada Festival
3/7/2020
On 5 July Javier Perianes returns to the Granada Festival to perform a solo recital broadcast from the spectacular Pórtico del Palacio del Partal in Alhambra. This year the festival offers 6 concerts in a new format, with each taking place in breath-taking venues across the city without live audiences. Instead each concert will be streamed online and on TV in Spain and Europe, and will also be available on mezzo.tv at a later date. Perianes’ programme includes works by Falla, Debussy, and Albéniz.
After Granada, Perianes performs Mozart Piano Concerto No.21 with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla on 9 July. The special charity concert has been organised to benefit and in tribute to the victims of Covid-19 and their families.
On 27 June for the opening of their summer cultural season, Perianes performed in recital in the courtyard of the Museo Picasso Málaga for capacity, socially-distanced audience. In the week prior, as part of European Music Day 2020, Javier performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.12 with the Orquesta Nacional de España in the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, which was broadcast live on 20 June.
