This week Javier Perianes performs Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major in his return to Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse under the baton of Josep Pons on 10 January at Halle Aux Grains and 11 January  at Le Parvis de Tarbes. This will be the French premiere of the second volume of the new Ravel Edition, which is dedicated to the Piano Concerto. The revised edition is based on the orchestral manuscript, scores of Marguerite Long, sketches of the reduction for two pianos and scores of Ravel’s contemporaries.

Perianes travels to Paris at the end of the month for his debut with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Xian Zhang performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4 in G major on 29 January  at Maison de Radio France. The concert will be broadcast live on France Musique.
