Alban Gerhardt makes his New York Philharmonic Orchestra debut with Simone Young on 30 and 31 January at David Geffen Hall performing the Brett Dean Cello Concerto. This extraordinary piece was written especially for Gerhardt and had its World Premiere in August 2018 at the Sydney Opera House.

Gerhardt’s collaboration with Simone Young continues in Cincinnati where he plays the Unsuk Chin Cello Concerto with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on the  on 24 and 25 January. In Cincinnati he also gives a solo recital within a concert series called Light/​Night. The Dean concerto is on the programme again with Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Daniel Harding on 6 and 7 February at Berwaldhallen in Stockholm.
