Akiko Suwanai debuts at Enescu & Moravian Autumn Festivals

Akiko Suwanai’s first appearance at the Enescu Festival on 20 September in Bucharest is also her first collaboration with Camerata Salzburg and the young British violist Timothy Ridout. Together they perform Mozart Sinfonia Concertante which is part of an all-Mozart programme also featuring Rolando Villazón and Mojca Erdmann.
After performing at Stresa and Ensecu festivals in September, next month Akiko will be the soloist at the closing concert of the Moravian Autumn Festival in Brno. On this occasion, she will be playing one of her signature works, violin concerto Seven by Peter Eötvös who is celebrating his 75th birthday this year. The concert programme featuring Brno Philharmonic and the works by Mozart, Eötvös and Bartók will be conducted jointly by Peter Eötvös and Dennis Russell Davis.
