After having worked with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Finnish National Opera Symphony Orchestra, Akiko Suwanai returns to Finland for her debut with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and Susanna Mälkki on 3 April. Two concerts at the Helsinki Music Centre feature Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, a true companion to Akiko’s artistic path since she won the International Tchaikovsky Competition 1990. In this regard, in June 2019 Akiko returns to Moscow to join the XVI’s competition jury alongside her fellow colleagues and personalities from the musical world.
