Han-Na Chang opens season with Trondheim Symfoniorkester
24/8/2018
As Chief Conductor and Artistic Leader of the Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Han-Na Chang received great acclaim in the 2017/18 season: “It is … Han-na Chang and the orchestra that glows strongly. For the entire performance the conductor has exemplary eye contact with all of those who need it. She knows this music inside out and the musicians reciprocate her enthusiasm’’. (Adresseavisen, Trondheim, September 2017)
The 2018/19 begins at the end of August with Mahler’s Symphony No.5 (a symphony she will repeat a few weeks later for her debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra). Continuing the development of the orchestra’s core programming, the season will feature major Romantic works from Strauss, Beethoven, Bruckner, Shostakovich and Dvořák, whilst also maintaining a balanced spectrum from Mozart to Webern and beyond. It promises to be one to remember with guest soloists including Bertrand Chamayou, Till Fellner, Håvard Gimse, Marita Solberg and Truls Mørk.
