Alban Gerhardt returns to Wigmore Hall to perform a chamber concert with pianist Vikingur Olafsson in their first collaboration. The programme includes Sonatas by Bach, Beethoven, and Debussy, as well as pieces by Arvo Pärt and Stravinsky. 

Highlights of Alban’s 2018/19 season include the premiere of a new concerto by Brett Dean with Sydney Symphony Orchestra (Robertson) and Berliner Philharmoniker with Sakari Oramo, and concerts with Hong Kong Philharmonic, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, and WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln under Jukka-Pekka Saraste, with whom he will record both Shostakovich concertos.
