Christoph Poppen debuts with Residentie Orkest

After an highly successful tour with Orchestre des Pays de Savoie Christoph Poppen travels to the Netherlands to make his debut with Residentie Orkest teaming up with Julian Steckel conducting Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No.1 at The Hague’s Zuiderstrandtheater (11 and 13 May).
In June Christoph Poppen takes a trip to Bangkok for two concerts with Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra and Gunwoo Park who is performing Dvořák’s Cello Concerto at Prince Mahidol Hall (8 and 9 June). The programme also includes a Thai traditional work and Brahms’ Symphony No.3 .
Christoph then returns to Europe for an exciting production with Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, including soloists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia as well as Kazakhstan’s Astana State Academic Philharmonic Chamber Choir to conduct Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana at Ankara’s Bilkent Odeon (23 June).
