Xian Zhang returns to China NCPA Orchestra

Following her successful debut in 2015, Xian Zhang returns to conduct the China NCPA Orchestra on 17, 18 and 24 June at the NCPA Concert Hall in Beijing.
The concert on 17 June features soloist Hsin-Yun Huang performing Bartók’s Viola Concerto. On 18 June, piano soloist Haochen Zhang performs Chopin’s Grande Polonaise brillante and Er Huang by contemporary Chinese composer Qigang Chen. Tchaikovsky’s Polonaisefrom Eugene Onegin and Symphony No.4 frame each programme.
On 24 June Zhang and the Orchestra are joined by soprano Renée Fleming to present Beauty of Voice: A Night with Xian Zhang and Renée Fleming. The programme features French and Italian operatic arias and songs, as well as excerpts from American musicals by Bernstein, Arlen and Richard Rodgers.
