John Daszak returns to Teatro Real Madrid performing the title role of Ginastera’s Bomarzo in a new production by Pierre Audi. Conducted by David Afkham, the performances open on 24 April. This return follows his strongly-acclaimed 2014 debut at the theatre in Britten’s Death in Venice.

Next up for this hugely versatile artist is Alviano, alongside Catherine Naglestad​’s Carlotta, in Schreker’s Die Gezeichneten, with conductor Ingo Metzmacher and director Krzysztof Warlikowski at Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opernfestspiele this coming July.
