Leila Josefowicz performs in San Francisco, Chicago and Amsterdam

Over the next few weeks Leila Josefowicz performs John Adams Scheherazade.2 in San Francisco and Chicago before travelling to Amsterdam to play Berg.
The performances of Scheherazade.2 – which was written for her and given its world premiere with the New York Philharmonic in spring 2015 – begin with four concerts at Davies Symphony Hall (22 – 25 February) with the San Francisco Symphony and Michael Tilson Thomas. Josefowicz then plays the same work on 2, 4 and 7 March with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Esa-Pekka Salonen.
On 11 March Josefowicz then travels from Chicago to Amsterdam to perform Berg’s Violin Concerto with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and James Gaffigan.
