Shakespeare’s Globe returns to China this autumn with 19 performances of its critically acclaimed The Merchant of Venice, starring Jonathan Pryce. The tour celebrates the playwright’s work, marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
Performances take place at the Guangzhou Opera House between 31 August and 4 September, National Centre for Performing Arts, Beijing between 15 and 18 September, Oriental Arts Centre in Shanghai between 22 and 25 September and Poly Theatre in Nanjing on 28 September.
