A summer of European festivals for Alina Pogostkina

Alina Pogostkina continues a busy summer of performances at a number of European festivals.
The summer began with her debut at the Solsberg Festival in June, playing Schubert’s Octet and other chamber music repertoire together with Sol Gabetta, Sabine Meyer, Veronica Hagen and other artists. Alina then play / conducted the Würtembergisches Kammerorchester in Mozart’s Violin Concertos Nos. 1, 2 and 7 at Weilburger Schlosskonzerte– they will continue their collaboration at the Festival in summer 2017 by presenting Mozart’s Violin Concertos Nos. 3, 4 and 5.
On 14 and 15 July she performs Dvořák’s Violin Concerto with the Prague Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Pietari Inkinen at Rheingau Music Festival and Ludwigsburger Festspiele on 14 and 15 July.
Alina’s summer draws to a close with a grand finale performance at the Salzburger Festspiele. On 26 and 27 August she will perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 under the baton of Sir Neville Marriner accompanied by the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. Having studied baroque violin with Reinhard Goebel in Salzburg, Alina’s interpretations of Mozart’s music has received critical acclaim.
