Angela Hewitt performs in Switzerland and Italy

Angela Hewitt performs with two orchestras in the same week, appearing with Switzerland’s Zürcher Kammerorchester followed a few days later by La Verdi, Milan.
Hewitt directs the Zürcher Kammerorchester from the keyboard in five concertos by Bach in Chur on 6 June and at Zürich’s Tonhalle on 7 June.
Later in the week she performs Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.1 with La Verdi conducted by Jader Bignamini at the Auditorium di Milano on 9, 10 and 12 June.
Angela Hewitt is the founder and artistic director of the Trasimeno Music Festival which takes place in Italy in early July each year. At this year’s festival Hewitt will again appear as soloist with La Verdi, conducted by Hannu Lintu, performing Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1 in Perugia on 30 June followed by Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.1 in Foligno on 1 July. Hewitt and Lintu will also perform Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1 in Milan on 28 and 29 June.
