Alban Gerhardt returns to the BBC National Orchestra of Wales to play Elgar’s Cello Concerto on 7 June under the baton of Martyn Brabbins at BBC’s Hoddinott Hall.

Later that week, he goes on to appear with the Hamburger Philharmoniker and Markus Stenz on 12 & 13 June, performing Unsuk Chin’s Cello Concerto — a work which Gerhardt has previously performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker and premiered at the BBC Proms.

Gerhardt will be back in the UK this summer for a performance of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Charles Dutoit on 3 August at the BBC Proms.
