Alban Gerhardt appears at the Rheingau Musik Festival on 25 August performing Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln under the baton of Jukka-Pekka Saraste. The performance follows the success of Gerhardt’s appearance at the BBC Proms earlier this month where he performed the same concerto, this time with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Charles Dutoit. 

Forthcoming highlights for Gerhardt next season include performances with the Minnesota Orchestra and Osmo Vänskä, St Louis Symphony with Hannu Lintu, Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich with Krzysztof Urbański, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Pablo Heras-Casado, and the Philharmonia Orchestra with Santtu-Matias Rouvali. He will also perform in Hong Kong, Melbourne, Perth, and at King’s Place in London for their ​‘Cello Unwrapped’ project.
